![]() ![]() ![]() When the King asked Lancer if the Lightners were disposed of, he became enraged when he learns that the Lightners were still alive, and became even more enraged when he learned Lancer befriended them. When the Lightners eventually made it to the top of the castle, they see Lancer attempting to reason with his father. Relieved, Lancer goes ahead to try and reason with his father while Susie rescues the rest of the party. Susie then promises Lancer that she won't kill the King and they'll try to talk it out. Susie, however, can not bring herself to kill Lancer and begs him to move aside, at which Lancer reveals his concern that the heroes and the King will end up killing each other. On her way, however, she meets up with Lancer, who attempted to stop Susie, resulting in the two to fight. Susie manages to escape and attempts to find a way to free Kris and Ralsei. When the heroes eventually reach the castle, Lancer betrays them and throws them in the dungeon forever, so that they would not have to fight his father. Unfortunately for the King, however, this plan backfired as Lancer started to grow a bond with the Lightners, particularly with Susie due to their similarity.Īs the heroes get closer to the Castle, however, Lancer starts to become more nervous at the thought of the heroes fighting his dad. When Lancer told his father that two Lightners are heading to the Card Castle to close the Fountain, he orders him to dispose of them. In reality, he's unaware of the Knight's true, cataclysmic intentions. Currently, the King is planning to cover the world in darkness and rule over it while making Lightners "live in despair". He also made Rouxls Kaard the new duke of puzzles. He started to believe that the Knight was on his side and that he allowed King a chance to get back at the Lightners who abandoned him and his kind.Īfterwards, King betrayed the other rulers of the Card Kingdom and imprisoned them, and put himself and his son Lancer into power. The Fountain changed King's behavior and he grew more cruel and tyrannical. King, throughout the playing card form he has in the Light World, witnessed this event. One day, however, a mysterious knight appeared and, in the Light World, created a new Dark Fountain. That event changed him forever.Before the events of the game, the King was one of the four kings who ruled over the Card Kingdom. When he lost his father by his mother's hand, Chason became infuriated and killed his mother, getting away with it by blaming it on a maid. His mother didn't want to be a part of his life so his father, Arthur, was the only one raising him and taking care of him.Ĭhason couldn't get any support from the other Queens and Kings either because his mother had forbid him from talking to them. That made it very difficult for him to find a queen for himself. ![]() People say that he got his anger issues because of his loneliness. ![]() He can be very nice but he throws tantrums quite often and when someone angers or annoys him, things don't go very well.Ĭhason was very lonely when he was younger and everyone avoided him because they thought he'll grow up to be just like his mother, mean and cruel. He got that title thanks to his parents since his mother, Sarai, made Spades the strongest and most powerful monarchs in their Kingdom.Ĭhason really loves his family and gets along pretty well with the other Kings and Queens. He's the father of Princes Lancelot and Lancer Spade.Ĭhason is the leading King in the Kingdom of Darkness. Chason Spade is the King of Spades in the Kingdom of Darkness and rules the spade suit of this Kingdom with his wife, Queen Lucia Spade. ![]()
